I finally got around to booking a track day session :). It was actually an evening rather than a day but close enough. We still got three hours driving time in an open pit lane format. That being where everyone is allowed out whenever they want to rather than only in specific 20 minute slots.

The session was organised by Book A Track. They are to be highly recommended - very friendly, very well organised and very safe! They definitely place driver (and car) safety as the top priorty. There is no overtaking except on straights and then only when the car in front moves asside to let you past. Brake the rules and drive dangerously (e.g. pretending it's race not a fun day) and you get banned.
