For some strange and bizarre reason, I decided to try a race. Unfortunately, I managed to pick one of the hottest days for weeks to start my racing career :-(. I also foolishly went out for a practice lap before my race started. So by the end of lap one I was thoroughly baked and had gone through nearly my entire water supply. Not good!

I reckon I could have done another lap, but only just and only slowly. However, I was in the three lap catagory. Phooey. Oh well I somehow managed 39th out of 45. So not quite last :-). Still, I tried. And now I know for next time - these racer people are just plain mental!
